British Style: Barbour, Hunter & Cath Kidston

Welcome back! Hope you had a great weekend. It's a beautiful day here, feeling more late summer than autumn but one of my favourites times of year to go for long walks. We are so fortunate where we live, on the edge of the Peak District with verdant green hills to walk, and climb, and jump in muddy puddles. Where do you enjoy walking? One of our favourite family walks is around the grounds of Chatsworth House, just 20 minutes from us. There are pretty kitchen gardens, but also vast manicured lawns and woodland, so lots for Noah to explore too. It reminds me of Downton Abbey which is back on the TV now and puts me in mind of woolly scarves, wellies and a quintessentially British day out with cakes and tea somewhere along the way.

So for today I thought I'd share some of my favourite images of English country style and some inspiration for a little shopping if the mood takes you. Otherwise just pull on some old battered boots and see where you end up. That's part of the joy of English country style, actually nobodies really bothered, they're all too busy enjoying the views!
